  • Cozy Travel Cushion for Pets
Dogs will love the comfort of this soft bed made from towels; you'll love the convenience. It's lightweight, easy to roll up and pack, and even machine-washable.

    • Step 1

Cut 2 pieces of batting 1 inch shorter and 1 inch narrower than towels.

      Step 2

Insert the 2 layers of batting into open end of towels, and sew up the last side.

      • Step 3

Stitch tufts in towels 6 to 8 inches apart: Using large sewing needle and a double strand of embroidery floss, stitch down through all layers and then back up about 1/8 inch from entry point. Trim floss, and tie ends. Repeat to make additional tufts.

Decore a colerinha deles

Snappy DresserFlowers aren't the only option for accessorizing. You can also stitch half of a snap to a bow or to a small flag to show your dog's colors for the Fourth of July.
How-To1. Use an upholstery needle and thimble to stitch half of a snap to the collar.
2. Stitch the other half of the snap to the base of a fabric flower. Those with a flat fabric bottom are easiest to work with. If your flower has a plastic base, just sew through a petal or two as close as possible to the base.

Almofada para o seu pet

It's a dog's life -- and a cushy one at that. This soft bed, suitable for small pooches, can be refreshed with a quick switch of covers. You'll need 2 same-size dish towels, 2-inch-thick foam (cut 4 inches shorter and narrower than the towels), and iron-on Velcro fasteners. Lay towels on top of each other, good sides facing. Sew 3 sides, about 1/2 inch in from towel edges. Turn inside out, insert foam, and iron the fasteners to the open side. For a neat appearance, fold that end as if gift-wrapping a box and use the fasteners to keep in place.

Aprenda a fazer o jogo americano para o seu pet

Tools and MaterialsPet bowl
Measuring tape
Animal-print paper, such as wrapping paper or page from a clip-art book
Colored card stock
Scissors
Spray glue
Shallow cardboard box
Rug underlay (foam webbing used underneath rugs for grip)

Pet Place Mat How-To
1. Measure your pet's bowl, then add a few inches to determine measurements of the animal-print paper. Adjust the animal-print paper on a photocopy machine to these measurements, magnifying it if necessary, and copy
2. Cut the card stock slightly larger than the animal-print paper to create a border. Lay the animal-print paper facedown in a shallow cardboard box; coat lightly with spray glue. Wait a few seconds until the glue is tacky, then mount the animal-print paper, centered, on the card stock. For a reversible mat, add animal-print paper to both sides of the card stock.
3. Laminate the mat at a local copy center, or do it yourself using a home laminator.
4. To prevent the mat from slipping on the floor, place a rug underlay beneath it.

Here's what you'll need per bowl:

- One circle with a 5" diameter for the bottom of the bowl
- Two bands 8 1/4" x 4"
- Two circles with a 6" diameter, this is the food
- Two circles with a 6" diameter, this is the water

Sew together the 2 bands along the 4" ends with a 3/8" seam. Turn right side out then fold wrong sides together as shown. Press fold which is going to be the rim of the bowl.

Pin the 5" diameter circle to the bottom of the band. Sew 3/8" seam. Turn the bowl out so the sewn edges are now inside the bowl. I sewed four parallel lines along the band as decoration plus it adds a little body so the bowl stays somewhat round.

For the food, I cut out two 6" diameter circles in brown and sewed together leaving a small opening so I could turn it right side out. Then I stuffed it polyfil and stitched up the hole. To add some dimension to it, I handstitched random lines about 1/4" long pulling them taut. (I pulled it in and out from the top to bottom). I repeated the process with the water but didn't pull through as tightly since I just wanted a ripple effect.

I also made some bones using white felt. I drew out a template then cut out the bones. Stitched 1/4" seam leaving a small opening along one of the long edges, stuffed with polyfil, and closed it up.

Brinquedo com barulhinho ou sem, voce é quem escolhe

super facil de fazer e seu fofuxo ficará tão feliz!!!!
_____________________________________________________________________________
Gus loves to gnaw on chew ties, so I knew I wanted to incorporate those into my pattern. They are very simple to make.
1. Start with a simple rectangle (around 1″ x 4″).
2. Fold it in half and sew an L-shape tube (with a 1/8″ seam allowance).
3. Turn the tube right-side out and then tie a knot on the closed end to finish.
4. Repeat twice so you have three finished ties for each toy. Don’t worry about the side with the raw ends…those will be hidden inside of your finished bone.

It can be helpful to use a hollow tube & rod to turn the fabric tube inside out…

5. Using the PDF pattern at the bottom of this post, cut out two bone shapes from heavy canvas or upholstery-weight fabric. In the examples shown here, I used decorative canvas fabric from my local Hobby Lobby store, but think outside of the box… do you have any old canvas bags sitting around the house waiting to be re-purposed?

6. Place the shapes right-sides together and add three chew ties to one end as shown…

7, Sandwich the ties between your pattern pieces and pin all in place before sewing.

8, Sew around the pattern piece with a 1/4″ seam allowance leaving the bone open on one side as shown. (For a smaller bone, use a larger 5/8″ seam allowance.) When you sew over the chew ties, you may want to back-tack across them to give them added strength. Make sure you don’t accidentally catch the ends of your chew ties in the seam as you sew around the bone.
9. Clip the seam allowance around the entire bone before turning right-side out.

10. Turn your bone right-side out & prepare to fill it.

11. I used Polyfil to stuff the bones. Then, I added a small squeaker. You’ll want to bury the squeaker in the middle of the stuffing.

12. Once you’ve stuffed your bone, hand-stitch the opening closed with a slip stitch using several strands of matching embroidery floss or thick thread for added strength.

Don’t have left over squeakers to use? You can buy a pack of 6 replacement squeakers for under $4 (with free shipping).

So now it’s time to test out our creation!

Projeto de papel pet

Objectives
Children will use and develop fine motor skills.

Materials
  • Dog printouts
  • White business envelope
  • Brown craft paper
  • Black craft paper
  • Red craft paper
  • Crayons or colored pencils
  • Large wiggly eyes
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
  • Glue
Directions:
Print dog patterns on heavy printing paper, laminate for extra strength if desired, and cut out. Trace onto craft paper and cut out. Fold envelope and cut in half (see picture 1). Place pieces together and tape one side together, using two pieces of tape (see picture 2). Fold and color the top piece of the envelope with crayons and decorate with ears, eyes, and nose. With a black marker, draw some dots beside the nose. To make the puppet talk, place four fingers in the top part of the envelope and the thumb in the bottom part.
Note: For younger children, have them place the entire hand in the top part of the envelope only.
